Some think this ode to modern highway adornment was a waste of tax payer dollars, but we challenge you to take a deeper look. We think the Winston Doobler—or just “The Doobler”—symbolizes double freedom and the potential we all have inside to be just a little bit better, but not so much better that you make other people jealous.
About
The Creative Corridors Coalition is the creator of this somehow shining, yet lackluster, beacon of beautiful mediocrity. Watch their video about the birth of The Doobler.
They are also responsible for the Winston Doobler’s little sister, the 40 Fins for Feet (the Green Street Pedestrian Bridge over Business 40).
Reviews
Yep. These are real reviews.
Of all the Dooblers I have seen, the Winston Doobler is by far the most recent. When I look at the Winston Doobler it makes me want to get in the best shape of my life so I can scale it and hang little airplanes and rocket ships from its highest perches.

The Winston Doobler is a breathtaking piece of architecture whose presence makes me feel welcome every time I drive under its majestic arches.

Really not a doobler at all…more of a dooble over a road.
Eric Scherck
While not as grand as the Ozark Doobler, nor as divisive as the San Andreas Doobler the Winston Doobler certainly reinforces the rustic charms of the local espirit de corps. Don’t forget to get your photo taken with this great Doobler at “the magic spot”; if you don’t know where that is, or can’t find it ask one of the locals for directions.

If you wanted to know how Winston wastes money. Here it is.

A sight of wonder for years to come. I wonder about this beautiful arch every time I drive by it.

It’s okay. Could’ve added a little pizzazz. Glitter is my personal favorite. Or maybe some streamers. Looks a little bland.

Until I saw the sun rise over the majestic arches of the Doobler this morning I have never seen true beauty.

Looks like you could put swings on it.

Where is the giant hammock they told me it would have? Never giving money to this project again!

And so this site isn’t just a snarky waste of bandwidth…
